The samples of this study included twenty-seven subjects (17 girls, 10 boys) with the mean age of 11.1 (SD 1.4) years. All the subjects were treated with Farmand appliance. Paired t-test and Wilcoxon test were used to evaluate the data. P value was set at P<0.005.
A skeletal Class I relationship and a marked reduction in overjet were achieved with Farmand appliance. ANB decreased significantly by 3.2 (SD 1.7) degrees and SNB increased from 74.3 (SD 1.7) degrees to 77.6 (SD 2.3) degrees.
(P<0.001)
