The unique sliding mechanism of the brackets used in Damon orthodontics applies different forces to teeth to push them toward their normal position. The self-ligating brackets used in Damon orthodontics are considered its distinctive feature because of more proper movement. A <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/jamilian.net\/en\/mini-screw\/\">mini-screw<\/a> is a small metal screw inserted through the gum into the jaw bone to act as an anchor to help move malpositioned teeth. A mini-screw is designed to help move adjacent teeth towards their normal position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before inserting a mini-screw, the orthodontist will have to examine by reviewing radiographs. This is done for the general safety of the patient. It is necessary to examine the site by reviewing radiographs. The gum will be locally anesthetized and then a hole may be drilled into the jaw \ufb01rst to insert the screw or it may be gently inserted directly into the bone.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mini-screws have made it easier for orthodontists to treat malocclusions. For example, in cases where a surgical procedure is required for the treatment of some malocclusions, mini-screws help orthodontists achieve the desired therapeutic result only by orthodontic treatments without any need for a surgical procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"new-mini-screw-based-method-for-the-treatment-of-maxillary-deficiency\">New mini-screw-based method for the treatment of maxillary deficiency<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Method and System for Treatment of Maxillary Deficiency Using Miniscrews<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This new method has been invented by Dr. Abdolreza Jamilian, a full professor and an Iranian&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jamilian.net\/en\/orthodontist\/\">experienced and skilled orthodontist<\/a>. This is going to be used&nbsp;to treat Class-III malocclusions. The large size of face masks can cause many problems for patients, especially during the summer or for those who wear glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Intraoral appliances are easier and more convenient for patients to use causing fewer problems. Unlike traditional extraoral appliances used for the treatment of Class-III malocclusions, the appliance invented by Dr. Jamilian is both intraoral and removable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this treatment, small implants are inserted into the anterior region of the mandible and the canines and then a removable retainer is attached to the maxilla using orthodontic elastics to easily connect the implants to the maxilla.
